Youth Club gets Minibus trial - 22nd September 2009



A Youth Club are set to try a new minibus service so youngsters can get from Hartley Wintney to Hook.

The Minibus service, will run every Thursday night from the village of Hartley Witney at around 7pm to The Base youth club, in Ravenscroft, Hook returning at 10pm, the trial starts in half-term in October and finishing at half-term in February next year.

If the trial is a success the Minibus service could become permanent, costing Hartley Wintney Parish Council £1,950 per year to fund the service during term-time.

Cllr Roberts told a meeting of Hartley Wintney Parish Council: "This will just help us a little bit and it helps The Base, and it seems sensible to join the two problems up. We would only do it for a term at first to dip our toe into the water."
