Charity Minibus Stolen - 22nd June 2010
A registered charity 'The Lion Swimming Club' have had their Minibus stolen, the group had organised a day trip for some of its disabled members but had to cancel the event due to the theft of the Minibus.
The Charity which has been running for over 50 years relies entirely on volunteers and is used by people of any age who have a permanent physical, mental or sensory disability.
The minibus is a blue Renault Master with Lion Swimming Club written down both sides and a picture of a lion on the front passenger and driver’s doors and it's thought that the MInibus was stolen on either the 3rd or 4th June from Conservative Club car park, Footscray Road, Eltham.
The Minibus was originally bought in 1992 for around £20,000 and over the years has been upgraded with specialist equipment including a wheelchair lift.
If you have any information on the Minibus call Greenwich police on 0300 123 1212.
